What are these tags made from?
Smooth nappa leather with brass hardware and charcoal edge finishing. Built to last decades and develop character with age.
How does the leather age?
Nappa leather develops a natural patina over time. It softens, darkens slightly, and gains unique character with every trip. No two tags will age the same way. This is intentional.
How do I care for the leather?
Nappa leather is durable. If it gets wet, let it air dry naturally. If it gets dirty, wipe gently with a damp cloth. The leather will develop natural oils and character over time. No special treatment needed.
How long does shipping take?
Each tag is made to order. Production takes 10–14 business days, then ships via standard shipping (3–5 days). Total time: approximately 2–3 weeks.
Can I customize the design?
Not at launch. We're starting with three crew stripe designs. Email us at studio@getnorthernstandard.com if you have ideas for future collections.
What size are these tags?
2.75" × 2.25" with a leather strap and brass buckle. Works on any suitcase, backpack, duffel, or carry-on.
How do I attach it to my bag?
Comes with a leather strap and brass buckle. Slides onto any luggage handle or bag strap. Secure and adjustable.
What if I don't like it?
We offer 30-day returns for unused tags in original condition. Email us at studio@getnorthernstandard.com.
Is this a real airline brand?
No. These are inspired by vintage jet crew uniforms from the golden age of aviation. They're a love letter to that era, not an official replica.
Why should I buy this instead of a generic tag?
These tell a story. When someone sees your tag, they know you're a traveler with taste. It's a conversation starter, not just functional luggage identification. Plus, nappa leather ages beautifully. A $10 plastic tag won't.
Can I buy multiple tags?
Yes. Many customers buy 2–3 to coordinate their bags or gift to fellow travelers.
Do you ship internationally?
Not yet, but email us at studio@getnorthernstandard.com if you're outside the US and we'll figure it out.
Why is production time 2–3 weeks?
Each tag is made to order. We don't mass-produce or hold inventory. Hand-printed nappa leather takes time. We'd rather make it right than make it fast.
